Yesterday, January 2nd, Akins High School Girls Soccer kicked off their 2017 season with a scrimmage versus Reagan High School. JVA defeated Reagan 2-0, with striker Gloria Jalomo scoring both goals. Analise Perez and Ximena Cruz split time at keeper and recorded a shutout.
Varsity defeated Reagan 9-0. Both strikers Mya Sharp and Marily Marin recorded hat tricks! Left Wing Erika Cardona scored, as did Center Midfielder Yazmin Lopez Aleman and Right Wing Deyfilia Mora. Goalkeepers Jessica Lopez and Analise Perez split time and recorded the shutout.
